The 23rd Legislative District Republicans is a political committee that actively develops and reflects community awareness. The Legislative District is composed of precincts and our Precinct Committee Officers interact with the residents to listen to their concerns and to provide information about issues. Our actions are based on the belief that power derives from the people and that the family is the building block of society. Therefore, social policy should encourage individual development, strong families, community cohesion, and unity of purpose. Political action should be consistent with these aspirations. We believe that the closer we as individuals and as communities adhere to the vision expressed in the Declaration of Independence the better life can be for everyone.

Being an organization in which ground-level political decisions are the most important, we vet candidates who represent our communities and who have the abilities to influence the direction and values at the state level. The goal ultimately is to rescue our nation from the damage currently being done by those who have the top-down and lock-step view of exercising tribalistic political power. We respect the uniqueness of individuals and value all stages of life. We advocate for the rights of parents to be informed about and to have control over the education of their children. Our sense of stewardship includes sustainable fiscal policy, government’s provision of value for the taxes we pay, and the view that every individual is worthy and is on a path toward sharing his unique gifts. The best economy is one in which free enterprise is exercised by individuals in a society that stresses good moral formation. A good society balances individual compassion, the freedom to fail and to succeed, and a strong sense of community.
